Smart Spaces. Open Displays. Infinite Possibilities.

Who’s next? The screen knows.

Displify runs several apps on the screen you already have: the queue, prevention tips, your clinic’s own campaigns. With one scan, a patient follows their turn on their phone — and can step out without losing it.

  • Validated in the field: 8 screens, 500+ attendees — DIZ 4.0, March 2026
  • Grown from doctoral research on open display networks, co-funded by the EU
A Displify screen in a waiting room: the queue, prevention tips in rotation, and a QR code to follow your turn by phone. On-screen text is in Romanian, as the apps run today.

What it is

One screen, several apps, each with its turn

Displify divides a screen into zones, and each zone gives its apps turns on a timer: the queue board, prevention tips, a clinic’s own campaigns. The apps can update each other’s content. It runs on screens from 45 to 98 inches, from a wide ticker to a portrait panel, at up to 4K.

What it changes

  • Updated centrally, not reprinted
  • Follow your turn from your phone
  • One screen, many services
  • Reduce print, increase sustainability

How it is built

  • Zones that rotate apps
  • QR hand-off to the phone
  • Apps that update each other

DIZ 4.0 · March 2026

Validated in the field

Eight screens and an audience of more than 500 at the DIZ 4.0 conference — Artificial Intelligence. Human Perspective — in March 2026. It ran inside Digital Innovation Zone, the European Digital Innovation Hub for North-East Romania.

Where it applies

Built for waiting rooms first

  • Entry market

    Healthcare

The entry market. The queue board, prevention tips, family-medicine information and your clinic’s own campaigns, sharing the screens already in waiting rooms and corridors, updated centrally instead of reprinted.

  • Conferences & events

Programme, speaker information and live updates across many screens at once, changing together as the schedule moves. This is the setting the DIZ 4.0 deployment proved.

  • Cultural heritage

Storytelling beside exhibition information, accessibility features and event communication — several applications on one surface, with curators keeping editorial control.

  • Research direction

    Smart spaces

Buildings where the display is one endpoint among many.

Where it comes from

Rooted in Open Display Networks research

From a doctorate to a funded prototype

The concept builds on doctoral work in the field and is being developed further by Everyware Computing SRL. It is now the subject of a project co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund, whose stated purpose is to develop and validate an experimental ecosystem of web applications for Open Display Networks and raise it from TRL 3 to TRL 5 in a relevant environment.

Principles

  1. Open by default — applications reach the screen through a published interface, not a private integration.

  2. Apps talk to each other. When one changes topic, the others can follow — a prevention tip can bring the matching product with it.

  3. Editorial control stays with the organisation. We provide the software; your people decide what the screens say.

Let’s build the pilot together.

We are looking for partners to co-design a multi-application pilot — one that fits how your organisation already works rather than replacing it.

You know your patients and visitors. We make the screens you already have work for them.

How a pilot starts

  1. Tell us about the space, the screens already in it, and what the people in front of them need to know.

  2. Together we choose the apps that share those screens, and the zone and turn each one gets.

  3. The pilot runs on the screens you already have, and its content changes centrally.
